About Corvia
Corvia is a small, independent project: free, structured prayer plans and novenas for people who want to pray but need a little help keeping to it.
We're Magdaléna and Oto Komiňák — a married couple from Slovakia and lay Catholics, she a marketing specialist, he a software developer.
We started it for an honest reason: we struggled to pray regularly ourselves. We would begin, drift, and begin again. What finally gave our prayer a shape was the novena — nine days, one intention, a saint to keep us company. And along the way we began to discover saints we had never really known, each one a companion for a different kind of struggle. Corvia is our attempt to make that easier for others: to pray steadily, and to meet the saints who walked the same road.
Every plan follows a form the Church has used for centuries. A novena is nine days of steady prayer, made in the company of a saint who knew the same struggle you're carrying — St. Jude for causes that seem lost, St. Rita for the impossible, Our Lady, Undoer of Knots for what feels tangled beyond repair. The saint doesn't grant anything; God alone is the source of every grace. The saint prays alongside you, so that you never pray those nine days on your own.
Each day gives you a short reflection, a prayer written in that saint's spirit, and an invocation — enough structure to return to, brief enough to actually pray. Everything on this website is free, with no account and no sign-up. The plans are also available as an app for iPhone and Android for those who'd like daily reminders, but nothing here is held back for it. Corvia is available in many languages, so you can pray in your own.
